Returns & Refunds policy

At StockMarketed.com, we take pride in carefully curating and describing every item. Because we are a small Australian business dealing primarily in vintage and pre-owned goods (with some new items), our returns policy is intentionally strict to keep prices fair and protect the integrity of our stock.

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the failure is not major.

Change of Mind Returns

We do not accept returns for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, wrong size, changed preferences, or similar reasons.

When Returns Are Accepted

Returns are only considered in the following limited circumstances:

  • The item has a major fault that was not disclosed and makes it unsafe or substantially unfit for its intended purpose.

  • The item is significantly not as described in the listing (photos and text).

Minor issues, normal wear, or differences that are clearly visible in the photos are not grounds for a return.

Timeframe

You must notify us of any issue within 14 days of receiving the item. Requests made after this period will not be accepted.

Vintage & Pre-Owned Items (Majority of Our Stock)

Vintage, used, and pre-owned items are sold as-is with all the character, patina, and signs of age that make them unique.
Normal wear and tear, minor scratches, fading, small dents, oxidation, or other age-related characteristics that are typical for the item’s era and are consistent with the listing photos are not considered defects and do not qualify for return or refund.

By purchasing a vintage item, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the photos and description carefully and accept the item in its described pre-owned condition.

New Items

New items follow the same policy above. They must be returned unused, in their original packaging with all tags and seals intact. Any signs of use, wear, or removal of packaging may result in the return being refused.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us first by email at [insert your returns email here] before sending anything back.

  2. Include your order number, photos of the issue, and a clear description of the problem.

  3. Do not return the item until we have reviewed your request and provided written approval (including return instructions).

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the criteria above. Return Shipping & Costs

  • You (the buyer) are responsible for all return shipping costs and insurance.

  • The item travels at your risk until we receive it.

  • We recommend using tracked shipping with signature on delivery.

Inspection & Refund Process

  • All returns are inspected upon receipt.

  • If the return is approved, we will process a refund to your original payment method (minus the original shipping fee paid by you).

  • Refunds are usually issued within 5–10 business days after approval.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund or offer only a partial remedy if the item has been used, damaged after delivery, or does not meet the return conditions.

Exclusions Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Items damaged by misuse, accident, or improper care after delivery

  • Items without proof of purchase

  • Vintage items where the claimed “fault” was visible in the original photos
